Lucinda and Ken Glover, site hosts, intend for it to be primarily a way to share genealogical information, photos, and comments with family and friends.
In Spring 2008, a group of Howell relatives interested in family history gathered at a location in Maneys Neck Township (Hertford County, NC) at a site known as "The Jane Howell Place". There was little to indicate that a house once stood on the site; however patches of jonquils (and narcissus) have continued to grow year after year. The patches are evidence that people once made the spot their home. Similarly we want this website to provide reminders of those who came before us and 'planted jonquils'.
